Giveaway Preview #3: Angela Kay Designs

{To celebrate of the 5-year anniversary of Less Ordinary Designs, I’m hosting a huge set of giveaways November 12 – 16.  Throughout this week, I’m featuring all of our participating vendors!} 

ANGELA KAY DESIGNS

A little over a year ago, I was scrolling through the pictures from a stylized nautical wedding shoot that I had been a part of and when I saw this clutch that I loved!  It was the “Handmade Seersucker Clutch with Yellow Rosette” and I  immediately started investigating to see where it came from!  Turns out, it was by Angela Kay Designs (P.S. See the bride in that shoot?  She’s one of the vendors that you’ll hear about later this week!)

Angela Huse of Angela Kay Designs has been one of my customers, and I’m so glad to be one of hers, too!  She makes all kinds of fabulous clutches and cute scarves.  I purchased a version of this clutch ipad case in gray chveron from Angela Kay designs a while back and I couldn’t be happier!  It’s cute, it protects my ipad and I receive compliments every time I take it out.

Angela began sewing after the birth of her daughter, Ava, and does all of the production of her products in her home studio with, as she puts it, “a lot of support from my very patient husband and family.”

When asked about her business, she says:

“I create pretty bags for today’s lifestyle. I designed my iPad and eReader cases for those tech savvy women who want to add a little fun and color to their gadgets. The large purse clutch in my store is an accessory that can be used by any woman to dress up their wardrobe… nothing like a pretty clutch to add a little fun to an outfit. I designed it with mommies in mind because I really disliked carrying the typical boring diaper/wipes bags. A perfect trendy look and design to stow away all the essential diapering needs. And the best part… the clutch can be used after your diapering days are over! The clutch has been used by several women who do not have children and those who do, love being stylish while carrying diapers!”

She describes her style as, ” . . . a little of everything. I really like classic styles, but adding a little fun… like polka dots or bright colors. I am really loving all the Chevron prints out there and just can not get enough of polka dots. As I have mentioned earlier, I do have an obsession with fabrics and pretty much gravitate to all fabrics with any bright color and pretty print.”
